David Rudolf, the defence lawyer in the infamous Michael Peterson case will be coming to UWE, Bristol in February 2020. The case garnered world wide attention as it was the focal point of a hit Netflix documentary series ‘The Staircase’. The show left viewers gripped as they watched to find out what happened to Kathleen Peterson in December 2001.

Rudolf, who attended New York University School of Law in 1971, will spend the evening discussing the conflict on whether to allow filmmakers document his every move as well as discussing the case at length, including the infamous ‘Owl Theory.’

This evening is one not to be missed, whether you are a fan of the show or interested in criminal justice matters. Come hear this captivating first-hand account of the complex American justice system and the events that surrounded this case.
