BLS/ UWE legal placement scheme in ninth year – Can you help?

This is our ninth year in collaboration with UWE and their work placement scheme.  The object of the scheme is simple.  We want to enable those students who have not yet secured a training contract to gain invaluable experience in a law firm and hopefully allow them to enhance their CV and career prospects at the same time.

Over the last few years, we have been able to place over 25 GDL and LPC students each year in various firms in and around Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, many of whom would otherwise not have had this opportunity.  The feedback from participating firms confirmed that they too benefited greatly from their involvement.  It is a great opportunity for firms to provide meaningful guidance and motivation to some very talented students who, for one reason or another, haven’t had their break yet.

If you are interested in participating in the scheme by offering a student some experience, please check out the UWE Placements letter 2019 for details of the scheme and get in touch with helen.read@bristollawsociety.com
