Bristol Festival Community Group seeks new Trustees

Bristol Festival Community Group, registered charity 1124722, organisers of Brisfest and Rave on Avon, is currently recruiting for new trustees.

As a registered charity we are governed by a board of volunteers, responsible for directing our activities, and ensuring we meet our aims and objectives. Primarily these are to support and promote music, art and culture in Bristol, whilst aiding personal development and community cohesion. We do this through staging festival events that showcase the best local talent, organised by volunteers who receive training and experience, helping them get into the music and events industry.

After taking a hiatus we are about to launch Brisfest 2016, and as such have identified the following trustee roles available on the board:

§  Legal officer

§  Fundraising Officer

§  Communications Officer

§  Digital Communications Officer

§  We are also interested in hearing from people with skills in many other areas to potentially join the board,  including HR, business administration,  building management,  commercial sales and business development,  creative programming,  music industry,  training, education and more!


If you are interested in any of the above roles, or indeed joining the board in any capacity, we are holding the open evening to provide further information. There will be cheese and wine available, with opportunities to meet the existing team and find out what the role would entail and the rewarding challenges involved. Attending the event is not a commitment to sign up, but designed to help inform your decision, so we hope that you will join us if you think this exciting opportunity might be for you.
