Early counter closure and formal closure of Bristol County Court


By order of the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, the public counters of Bristol County Court, Bristol Civil Justice Centre, Number 2, Redcliff Street, Bristol, BS1 6GR will be closed for business from 2pm on each week day commencing on Monday 19 December and ending on Friday 23 December 2011. The Court and Offices will be closed from Monday 26 December 2011 and will re-open on Tuesday 3 January 2012

A normal counter service provision from 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday will resume on Tuesday 3 January 2012.

Any court listings scheduled to take place from Monday 19 December until Friday 23 December 2011 will proceed as stated and will not be affected by this closure order. The telephone service provision for Bristol County Court will also be unaffected by this closure order and will operate a normal telephone service from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Note for court users: if you need to contact the court in an emergency, please telephone 0117 3664942. This service will be available on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 December 2011 only. For access to a Judge outside this period, please use the urgent court business contact number 07795 302944.
