Free Law Clinics run by Avon & Bristol Law Centre

Free Law Clinics run by Avon & Bristol Law Centre with the support of lawyers volunteering their time for people who need advice and cannot pay privately

Avon and Bristol Law Centre’s aim is to help people get access to justice, whether that be simply the right legal advice or full representation where possible. Unfortunately in many areas of law, it could be very hard for you to find legal advice and support from paid lawyers because there is simply not the funding or provision for it. The law centre therefore seeks a commitment from legal professionals who work for private law firms in the region to volunteer their time and skills where they can, to provide free legal advice to those who need it most.

Virtual Law Clinic – Somerset and beyond

The aim of this project is to reach people who are likely to experience significant barriers in accessing free legal advice in their local area across the South West region.

We are making use of technology to connect clients with lawyers by Skype. Currently the service runs on a Tuesday evening extending to Thursday evenings in due course but with the aim of it being flexible to suit the clients and lawyers.

The project was started in October 2017 with Avon and Bristol Law Centre connecting lawyers to clients attending the Citizens Advice North Somerset (Weston Super Mare) and South Somerset (Yeovil).

If you wish to enquire about appointments, please contact:
