We are currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join our highly successful Family team based in the Bristol office.
The Bristol Family team is well-respected and highly thought of, boasting ‘genuine specialists in each of the distinct disciplines which make up family law’. Ranking in top tier for family law, the team can offer the successful candidate an opportunity to learn from the best. Given the emotive nature of much of the team’s work, the team works hard to not only provide an efficient and professional service but also an exceptional client experience.
Working as a Legal Secretary in this established and innovative team, you will work closely with partners and fee earners, providing them with a comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative service.
As our client care is extremely important to us, you’ll demonstrate an ability to communicate with clients face-to-face and over the telephone; assisting with queries and arranging appointments to see fee-earners. You’ll also have responsibility for arranging meetings, conferences and client interviews ensuring that fee-earners’ diaries are up-to-date whilst also supporting the team with general administrative tasks.
Given the nature of the role, you’ll thrive in a busy environment and will need to be able handle a varied workload, therefore it is essential that you have excellent organisational skills and are capable of using your own initiative. The work you produce must be of the highest calibre so you’ll have demonstrable experience of working accurately and efficiently, word processing all legal correspondence including Court proceedings, minutes and seminar notes.
It is essential that you have experience in a similar role however experience within a Family team isn’t essential but would be very advantageous. You’ll use this experience to hit the ground running; working collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes, ensure best practice and always provide the best service to our clients.
You’ll need to be able to strike the balance between working quickly and efficiently but also remembering the client is at the heart of everything you do. If you are caring and ambitious, driven and compassionate, we’d love to hear from you.
In addition to your competitive basic salary we have an exciting benefits package including a contributory pension scheme, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, season ticket loans, childcare vouchers.
