Beachcroft conquers Pen y Fan and Corn Du for Emmaus UK

In September, intrepid hikers from Beachcroft LLP (led by staff from their Bristol office) set off from Brecon to conquer the peaks of Pen y Fan and Corn Du in South Wales. The annual event was organised by Beachcroft to raise money in support of the valuable work undertaken in Bristol and other areas by Emmaus UK, a registered charity offering a lasting solution to homelessness by offering formerly homeless people a home, work and the chance to regain self-respect in a supportive environment whilst renovating and re-selling donated furniture.

Taking in the highest peak in the Brecons National Park (rising to 886 metres), the walkers avoided the crowds by ascending Pen y Fan from the North along the steep ridge from Cwmgwdi. They then moved on to the second peak before descending for the long walk back for a well deserved rest and a toast to Emmaus UK.
