Kirby Sheppard relocates head of family law

Bristol-based solicitors Kirby Sheppard are pleased to announce that the head of their specialist family team, Jim Gridley, has relocated to the firm’s City Centre office in Queen Square to help expand the department’s private client work.

Jim, who was previously based in Kirby Sheppard’s Kingswood Office, has specialised in family work for over 25 years and is an Accredited Member of the Law Society Children, Family and  Mediation Panels.  He was one of the first lawyers in the region to qualify as a Mediator and he is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer and a Resolution Accredited Specialist.  As head of the family department Jim has helped expand Kirby Sheppard’s family team to its current status as the largest in the Bristol area.

Commenting on his relocation Jim said “We have very strong family teams in all three of our offices and we are now looking to expand the Queen Square office in relation to the financial aspects of divorce and to provide a focus on collaborative law.  We can offer our clients a highly specialist family service, giving them legal support for a whole range of issues including divorce, financial, child care problems and pre-nuptial agreements. With our collaborative and mediation expertise we will aim to resolve a family’s issues without the stress and costs involved in going to court.”
