It can also lead to personal prosecutions of directors or senior managers.This major firm understands the pressures the clients may face, and give commercially biased compliance advice, and/or represent them should the need arise. The Corporate Defence team provides specialist tailored strategic advice or representation to help clients avoid the pitfalls, leaving them free to concentrate on their core business.
The ideal candidate: - will have a minimum of 3 year's private practice experience or a minimum of 5 year's in-house experience. - will need to have a full understanding of Trading Law regulation and ideally have a specialism in product liability, food safety, advertising/promotions, data protection and trading standards. - will be expected to take responsibility for running his/her own files under the supervision of the Head of Regulation. - will be expected to be actively involved in a supportive role in the business development of legal services to the Retail sector. This will include supporting the design and presentation of seminars, workshops and in-house training for clients and prospects as well as writing articles, press releases and updates. - will be expected to work in a team environment, within the Regulatory Team , will attend team meetings and will report to the Head of Regulatory on case matters. - will play a key supporting role in different types of project work led by the firm's company/commercial, employment and banking teams, including acquisitions, mergers and sales, dismissal of approved persons and drafting product originating documentation.
