Continued growth of one of the largest professional indemnity (P.I.) practices in Bristol has created a vacancy for a junior associate to handle P.I. claims.  Based in the Insurance and Reinsurance Group, the Bristol office comprises 4 partners and over 20 fee earners handling professional indemnity and/ or Directors and Officers claims.  The professional indemnity work includes a wide range of claims handled on behalf of insurers, including architects, surveyors & valuers, D&C contractors, accountants, insurance brokers, IFAs, pensions trustees and lawyers (but excluding clinical negligence claims).

The role will involve handling a personal caseload in addition to assisting more experienced colleagues across a variety of different professional claims, offering variety and plenty of client contact and responsibility.  Ideally candidates will already have assisted on or handled a variety of professional indemnity claims. Essentially they should have a strong academic background and have qualified as a solicitor with a highly rated regional or City firm. They should have excellent commercial litigation experience including solid drafting, negotiating, and other communication skills. They must also be able to display initiative and good client relationship management ability.
