Members and Benefits
Bristol Law Society is a private members, local law society providing a focus for the local legal community. Membership is individual not corporate and is renewable annually. Membership was originally limited to solicitors. Now, all solicitors, barristers, trainee solicitors, pupil barristers and ILEX members are entitled to join.
To apply to join, please note that you must have a proposer and seconder who are members of Bristol Law Society. All cheques should be sent to Bristol Law Society made payable to BLS. If you have any queries, please contact us at membership@bristollawsociety.com
If you wish to apply or pay your annual fee online, please note that due to technical difficulties we are currently unable to accept payments on-line. We can however take credit card payments over the telephone. Please call 0117 976 3087.
Membership confers a number of benefits including access to various special offers and special rates to attend BLS events. Members receive the Bristol Law Society monthly news and views magazine, Legal Life and are entitled to access the centrally located Law Library and use the Library reading room.

Legal Life (formerly Bristol Briefing)
Legal Life is now online in a digital version and is the monthly publication provided by Bristol Law Society and Bud Publishing. The website contains many of the features of the original printed version as well as a growing archive of features (including leisure) and back issues.
