Membership Rates

There are a wide range of memberships available ensuring that anyone who wishes to join their local Law Society is able to do so. The membership year runs from December to November and operates on an individual as opposed to a corporate basis.

Associate Membership

Practising solicitors outside the geographical area of BLS (30 mile radius of Bristol City Centre) are entitled to apply for Associate Membership. Associate Membership is also available to barristers, pupil barristers, trainee solicitors, ILEX members, Licensed Conveyancers, Accredited Representatives and Foreign lawyers working for a firm with a place of business in the area.
