New Litigator & Paralegals Join Mowbray Woodwards
Leading Bath-based law firm Mowbray Woodwards has strengthened its team with the appointment of Richard Mackichan-Burke.

Richard joins the Litigation team where he is responsible for advising both individuals and businesses on a wide range of disputes.

Richard, who graduated from the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice in 2008, has a broad knowledge and experience of resolving issues regarding property, landlord and tenants, inheritance, professional negligence and Power of Attorney. He advises businesses in relation to director and shareholder disputes, contracts, financial and debt recovery issues and commercial property. Richard will work closely with our property, private client and business teams to ensure clients receive joined-up advice, tailored to their individual needs.

Richard said: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a long-established, multi-disciplinary law firm as Mowbray Woodwards which has a first-class reputation in Bath and throughout the region.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is resolving issues quickly which means the level of emotional and financial impact on a client is greatly reduced.”

Richard is joined by two other new arrivals. Angus McWilliams joins the Criminal & Litigation team having completed a law degree at Plymouth University before completing the LPC and Masters in Legal Professional Practice at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2018. An important member of the team, he will be providing administrative support to Mowbray Woodwards’ specialist criminal solicitors whilst developing his legal skills.

Laura Ingram joins us as paralegal in the Family Law team. With over 12 years’ experience, her knowledge and insight will prove invaluable as she supports Daniela Nichols and Harriet Woodman in the public children law sector.

Managing Partner of Mowbray Woodwards Tracey Smith, said: “A big welcome to our new appointees Richard Machichan-Burke, Laura Ingram and Angus McWilliams. It is always exciting when new team members join us here at Mowbray Woodwards and I know they will make a valued contribution to the litigation and family departments respectively.”
