Socio Economic Diversity Taskforce Roundtables – various dates

A taskforce commissioned by City of London Corporation has been set up to increase socio-economic diversity (SED) at senior level within the UK Financial and Professional Services, after research found almost 9 in 10 senior roles are held by those from higher socio-economic backgrounds.

This taskforce, alongside Delivery Partner MyKindaFuture, is hosting a series of interactive, 90-minute roundtable events, hosted by a member of the taskforce. These are tailored to firms of all sizes, and will:

  • Explore the progression and retention diverse talent of all backgrounds within the industry
  • Give your business a ‘voice’ in the work of the taskforce
  • Highlight and explore the key barriers firms face when looking to overcome the lack of SED at senior levels
  • Identify the tools and support needed to successfully address this including data, senior level champions and role models, and a truly inclusive workplace
  • Provide opportunity to feed in your firms’ ideas and questions surrounding the new safe, trusted space the taskforce will launch in April 2022
