2+PQE Corporate (Equity Capital Markets) – Bristol – BLS1347
This leading national practice are seeking to recruit a corporate lawyer to join their team in Bristol. The main focus of the role will be M & A and equity capital markets (ECM) work. M & A work will include share and business sales and acquisitions, buy-outs, buy-ins, institutional buy-outs and public to private transactions. ECM work will revolve around the ‘mid-cap’ market, covering IPOs (including on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority, AiM and dual listings on international stock markets); secondary issues (including rights issues, open offers, placings and capitalisations); and capital re-organisations.
You will be tasked with running and assisting on matters, building client relationships and business development whilst being fully supported by the team.

Technical skills and experience:
You will have gained good experience in a highly regarded corporate team with a focus on M & A and ECM and work having acted for both corporate and institutional clients.
Alongside excellent technical and analytical skills, you will be academically strong, commercially minded and have good marketing and team working skills. The firm would like to see candidates who have had hands-on experience of transactions from start to finish and who are confident to work independently both within and across teams.
Due to the complex nature of the work and the structure of the team, you are likely to have at least 2 years’ experience.
