Advice for Family Lawyers on now to deal with valuation of family businesses which may have been ‘mothballed’ due to virus


 

 

 

 

 

 

Forensic Partner Roger Isaacs considers how divorce lawyers should deal with the valuation of family businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic, when many of those businesses have effectively been “mothballed”.

He discusses the pros and cons of pressing ahead with valuations now compared with waiting for a time of less economic uncertainty, bearing in mind the fact that divorcing clients will want to avoid being left in limbo and will be keen to finalise their financial separation.
