After a lot of deliberation we think it best to cancel tomorrow’s briefing meeting of the All Party Group on Legal Aid because of the tube strike. Instead we will hold the meeting 8.30-10am in the Jubilee Room at the House of Commons on Tuesday 11 February.
The second tube strike starts on 11 February but not until the evening so this looks like a better date.
Please can you notify any parliamentarians you have invited about the change of date. We will email everyone who has told us that they are coming about the change of date.
The format will remain the same with speakers around 9.15 on civil and criminal law. All MPs and Lords are welcome to drop in to discuss any area they are interested in and to catch up on where we are with the changes to criminal defence work and the post LASPO Act position. Representatives of all areas of civil and criminal legal aid will be present to discuss the current position.
