An Evening With the President of Birmingham Law Society and Cherie Blair CBE, QC -20th Jan @ 7-8.30pm

BLS is part of the Joint V Law Societies – Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds Liverpool and Manchester and we meet regularly providing a voice for a significant proportion of the regional profession and best practice sharing.  As part of that relationship, the President of Birmingham Law Society is happy to extend the below invitation to our members.

COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on many businesses, not least the charitable sector who are unable to fundraise in the usual way.

During my term, I have decided to nominate The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT), as my chosen charity. You may ask yourself why? Well, Lisa Turan, CEO, manages a wonderful team of dedicated staff who go above and beyond for children and young people with an acquired brain injury. They have successfully placed Family Liaison Officers in all major trauma units in the UK to ensure that families are assisted from day one. It can quite overwhelming and distressing for families affected by a brain injury but CBIT is always there to listen and provide appropriate support.

In light of this I have decided to arrange a few ‘Evenings with the President of Birmingham Law Society’ in order to raise well needed funds for CBIT. Cherie Blair has kindly agreed to take part in the first event. Please join us on 20th January by registering for what should be a really interesting evening with Cherie Blair.

Thank you.

Inez Brown
President of Birmingham Law Society
