Government launched its Industrial Strategy last autumn in its support for growth. As part of the Government’s commitment to engage directly with business to set a long term approach, we would like to invite you to participate in the Industrial Strategy Workshop for Professional and Business Services which has been organised by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) and Business West.
The workshop has been scheduled for Friday, 8 February 2013 between
09:00am – 12:30pm.
Venue: Offices of Osborne Clarke, 2 Temple Back East, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6EG
This workshop will offer you the opportunity to participate in an interactive and collaborative discussion on areas which you believe are inhibiting growth and to share thoughts on what steps the Government might take to improve the opportunities for professional and business services (PBS) in the UK and abroad.
In delivering our thinking to date, BIS has been advised by the Professional and Business Services Group which published a report called ‘Seizing the Opportunities for Growth’ in July 2012. BIS has used this report as a starting point for the strategy in this area. As part of the workshop, we would like to:
– Validate the key recommendations of this report with you;
– give you the opportunity to highlight key barriers to growth; and
– share growth success stories which have not been identified

We recommend that you read the report before you attend this workshop.
