BRISTOL CIVIL JUSTICE CENTRE ISSUES CLARIFICATION ON LIMITATION CLAIMS

The court has received several queries from solicitors relating to the “date stamping” by the court office on limitation claims and the 1 month transitional period.

Several have voiced concerns on this question and the fact that this may compromise their client’s position if they have a claim that needs to be date stamped by the court post this 1 month period

In order to clarify the position, can all solicitors note that Claims close to Limitation will continue to date stamped locally by the court before being sent by DX to CCMCC

Therefore the 1 transitional month period does not apply to date stamping limitation claims.

The 1 month transitional period applies only to the acceptance of the old style N1 claim forms
