Salma Maqsood

Salma is the President of Bristol Law Society, the first Muslim to hold this role in its 255 year history and Partner in the Commercial Property team at Porter Dodson. She also serves as a Board Member of the Ethnic Solicitors South West Network and as a Social Mobility Ambassador for The Law Society of England and Wales, championing access, representation, and inclusion across the profession.

In her day job, she is a Commercial Property Partner all things property excite me!

Alongside leadership roles, she actively mentor aspiring solicitors, particularly those from under‑represented and disadvantaged backgrounds.

Recognition includes being named Winner of Achievement in Law at the British Muslim Awards (2025) and listed among the Top 50 Influential Muslims in Europe (2024).
