Bristol | Roadmap to net zero | Zero Carbon Tour by Planet Mark with WECA and UWE – 23rd Sept

Join Planet Mark as we kick off the next leg of the #ZeroCarbonTour in the West of England, sharing the net zero message with the business community.

About this event

The #ZeroCarbonTour is headed to Bristol as we make our way through the UK to COP26 in Glasgow in November, sharing the net zero message with the business community. We’re accelerating the UN-backed Race to Zero as part of the UK’s #TogetherForOurPlanet campaign.

Join us and our local hosts, West of England Combined Authority, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) as we discuss the concept of net zero carbon and why it is critical for businesses in this #DecadeOfAction. Hear Carbon Stories from like-minded local people, organisations and community groups and the impactful projects they are undertaking to reduce their carbon emissions. You’ll also find out more about the initiatives available in the region to support your journey to net zero carbon.

Shaping a brighter future is not something any one organisation can achieve alone. It requires collaborative and decisive action that will create a future of unprecedented business opportunities – finding new growth and talent, lowering costs and building greater resilience.

On the day, you’ll see the UK’s first 100% electric coach, affectionately named the ‘Carbon Battle Bus’, find out more about the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign and hear Carbon Stories and discussions with local people, organisations and community groups.

Net Zero Carbon Essentials Workshop:

We are also hosting a three-hour Net Zero Carbon Essentials Workshop for those who want to take a deeper dive into understanding how to set a credible net zero target for their business and the steps involved in joining the UN-backed Race to Zero and Together for Our Planet campaigns. You can sign up to the next workshop here.

We’re aware that not everyone will be comfortable attending this event in person. That is why we are offering a live stream option – just click the ‘online’ ticket when checking out. We will regularly be assessing the safety of these events in accordance with local Covid-19 guidance.

By registering to this event, I acknowledge Planet Mark, Planet First Limited and Zero Carbon Tour organisers may take photos or videos for promotional purposes.
