Guidance from DJ Britton on Costs budgets for cases issued pre 1.4.13

Alison Underhill of Wards has been in correspondence over costs with District Judge Bitton. The District Judge has asked that the correspondence be publicised widely to BLS members.

Alison comments: “Please find attached my recent letter to District Judge Britton and his response clarifying the practice being adopted in Bristol with regards to the need for filing of costs budgets in claims issued before 1st April 2013.  You will see that District Judge Britton has confirmed that the practice in Bristol will be that costs budgets are NOT required in these cases but that old style costs estimates will still be required.”
