Jordans, UK corporate services provider, has appointed Debbie Farman as Legal Director to spearhead the expansion of its corporate legal services offering.
Debbie will lead a team of lawyers, paralegals and corporate compliance experts who will be at the heart of the expansion. Jordans already works with over 75% of the UK’s leading law firms and accountancy practices, providing formation, company secretarial and corporate legal services. Now the company is in the process of setting up an alternative business structure (ABS) that will allow Jordans to offer a broader range of corporate and commercial law services.
Commenting on the plans for the ABS, Debbie says: “The ABS is a natural progression for Jordans and I am really excited to be joining them at this pivotal time. The company already has the advantage of a great reputation within the professional community and broadening our corporate legal service portfolio will enable us to provide an end-to-end service. We will be well placed to offer a value for money service (and a viable alternative) for work of this nature. I believe my previous experience both in private practice and as in house counsel will allow me to understand more fully our customers’ needs and expectations.”
Debbie joins Jordans with 13 years’ PQE. Her previous role was with Vertex, a global outsourcing BPO company, where she was Head of Legal dealing with strategic business matters as well as the day to day general counsel activities. Prior to this role she spent 9 years with Eversheds (Cambridge, Paris and London) handling all manner of corporate transactions, predominantly within the private equity team.
She concludes: “At both Vertex and Eversheds I experienced Jordans’ service excellence from a customer’s standpoint, and I know there is significant demand for the type of legal services we will be providing. We have a strong team and will be adding specialist resource, in order to ensure our legal services maintain the high standards for which Jordans is so renowned.”
