Lawyers splash out in Portishead

QualitySolicitors Burroughs Day, Bristol and Portishead based solicitors and F. H. Halliday and Son Funeral Directors joined forces to fundraise at the annual Portishead raft race. Their team name? Legal Undertaking.

A large crowd turned out to enjoy the July sunshine at Portishead Lake Grounds. They saw local businesses, fundraisers and the community gather to raise funds and have a good time. In total the event raised almost £10,000 for local charities.

Teams competed fiercely to paddle fastest across the local lake and showcased their agility and speed whilst completing several challenges, including rescuing a damsel in distress.

Anne Minihane, Partner at QualitySolicitors Burroughs Day and planning for later years specialist commented, “It was a fantastic event and the team and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of it. Community events like these are excellent for raising awareness of the importance of planning for later years and raising money for worthwhile causes like BRACE.”

Their fundraising efforts generated over £330 and QualitySolicitors Burroughs Day has pledged to continue their support at upcoming events.
