Philippa Morgan, Head of the Family Team at the Bristol office of Lyons Davidson solicitors has raised in excess of £5,500 for Cancer Research UK by undertaking the “Big Shave”. Philippa shaved her head in support of her secretary, Leigh Ann Kitteringham, aged 30, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for a rare form of Cancer at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Owner, Mark Eley, of Escape Hairdressers on Victoria Street in Bristol offered his services for free and Philippa and Leigh Ann were supported by colleagues and family when they undertook the challenge.
Philippa said of the experience “Leigh Ann has been amazingly brave and we are delighted that we have managed to raise so much for such a wonderful cause”. Managing Director of Lyons Davidson, Mark Savill, added ‘Leigh Ann’s courage has been an example to us all and I know that what Philippa has done has really helped to lift the spirits of both Leigh Ann and her colleagues.
Donations have been flooding in to Philippa and Leigh Ann’s Virgin Money Giving page (Virginmoneygiving.com/team/ldgirls) with friends, family, staff at Lyons Davidson and other members of the Legal Profession all generously supporting them in raising much needed money for Cancer Research.
