Promotion success for Gregg Latchams’ lawyers
Bristol-based law firm Gregg Latchams has promoted two of its staff in recognition of their continued achievement and commitment to the success of the company.
Head of Residential Property Lesley Warren has been promoted to Director whilst family and relationships specialist Sarah Comley has been a made a Senior Associate.
Lesley, who has worked at the Queen Square firm since 2012, takes on all types of residential work including sales and purchases and more complex transactions such as legal charges, deeds of easement, deeds of variation and lease extensions.
Sarah advises clients on all aspects of private family law with particular emphasis on the financial aspects of separation and divorce including pensions, companies and cases with an international element. She joined Gregg Latchams in 2015, having qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2007.

Foot Anstey brings in trio of legal directors to boost growth
Top 100 law firm Foot Anstey has hired three new legal directors as part of its growth strategy.
Planning and environment lawyer Christian Silk makes the jump from Simmons and Simmons. His arrival boosts Foot Anstey’s developer and energy sector credentials and open further opportunities for the firm in advising on infrastructure projects.
Zahir Nayani rejoins Foot Anstey’s Islamic finance team from Rosette Merchant Bank where he was general counsel. Zahir’s return widens Foot Anstey’s offering in a growing market, with Islamic banks and investors already numbering among the firm’s largest clients.
Joanne Boyle brings a wealth of experience to the firm’s employment practice from Womble Bond Dickinson, where she rose from trainee to partner over 18 years. She specialises in business transformation projects including proposed restructures and cultural change programmes.
The announcement follows the unveiling of the firm’s new strategy last month, which saw it expand its core sectors from four to six.

The new legal directors all join Foot Anstey’s office at Temple Quay, Bristol, which now numbers over 160 staff.
