This national law firm has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor or FCILEx to join its Private Client department on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be personable, self-motivated, adaptable and have extensive Contentious and Non-Contentious Probate experience although experienced candidates with only contentious experience will also be considered.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on all aspects of Contentious Probate matters including claims under the I(PFD)A 1975, claims regarding the validity of wills, court of protection work and disputes between Executors and Trustees and Beneficiaries;
  • Will and LPA drafting;
  • Estate and Trust administration;
  • Providing tax advice to clients, including life time tax planning and CGT advice;
  • Completing Trust Tax Returns and Self-assessment tax returns;
  •  Conducting benefits reviews for Deputy files;
  • Advising clients on benefits i.e. Deprivation of capital and funding for care homes;
  • The management of Trusts including setting up trusts from large Clinical Negligence/PI Cases with professional Deputies and the drafting of Trusts and applications to the Court of Protection for comp
