24th June sees the start of a new Law Society Campaign promoting PI Solicitors.
Law Society Chief Executive Desmond Hudson explains:-
“I wanted to share with you our plans for our public-facing advertising campaign and to ask for your help to make sure your members know about it and are able to take full advantage of it.
This year’s campaign focuses on personal injury, emphasising the significant benefit of seeking legal advice from a solicitor, rather than accepting an insurer’s first offer.
We know that the personal injury sector has been seriously affected this year with the implementation of the “Jackson – change” to costs and the recent specific changes to civil costs and RTA claims. We are concerned that this bundle of changes will impact access to justice and the well-being of many fellow solicitors and their firms. We’re determined to fight back and demonstrate to consumers the value that solicitors add.
The campaign runs for six weeks from 24 June 2013
The advertisement has been designed to be humorous, bold and memorable. You can find campaign details, including how to order campaign materials for local promotion, at www.lawsociety.org.uk/promote All of these materials are free for any member or their firm to use.
As a matter of planning which will, I think, become clearer once you see the campaign materials, we are providing less advance notice than in previous years.
Unlike previous years our press office will be contacting all major print media outlets in an attempt to generate additional coverage rather than asking individual firms to do so. Our press office is also available to help firms raise their local media profile alongside the campaign in any way we can – please email email@example.com or ring 020 7316 5592.
Please promote this campaign as widely as possible. We’ll publish updates in our e-newsletter Professional Update and on our website at www.lawsociety.org.uk/promote
For questions or comments please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re always happy to hear your views and feedback.
