After nearly 20 years’ service as a District Judge, Bristol County Court would like to announce the retirement of District Judge Michael Daniel. Prior to his appointment in 1993 he was a family and civil litigation solicitor in Cheltenham and part-time lecturer on continuing education courses. He is known and valued not only for his grasp of the law but also for his unfailing politeness and courtesy. As he was to the advocates and litigants appearing in front of him, so he was also to the court staff who much appreciated the help, advice and support he was always only too happy to offer. We hope readers of Legal Life will join the judiciary and staff at Bristol County Court in wishing District Judge Daniel a long and happy retirement.
