Sad news – Fergus Lyons


It is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of Fergus Lyons last weekend.

Admitted February 1955 – Fergus joined his brother Paddy at Lyons & Co, 16 Baldwin Street before coming a Partner in Lyons Davidson on formation in the 1970s where he practiced property and conveyancing.

Fergus was the first PR Officer for the Bristol Law Society in a time when the profession was not allowed to advertise or tout for business. He later became President in 1975.

He retired in the mid 1990s and was very much still enjoying his golf. He died aged 90.
