SGS College looking for new governors with legal experience

South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS) has formed as the result of the merger between Filton College in South Gloucestershire and Stroud College Gloucestershire. Formed on 1 February 2012, SGS plays a crucial role in the development of the skills and talents of young people and adults.

As a result of impending vacancies, members of the Board are looking to appoint additional Governors to fill these vacancies.

The Corporation is looking for dedicated people who can bring a variety of skills and experience to the role and to have the qualities to support the College in its strategic aim to become an outstanding institution. Of particular interest is experience in law.

It would be very much appreciated if you can please help us in our search for these additional Governors by circulating the attached advertisement. Any expressions of interest should be addressed to the Clerk to the Corporation who will then make the necessary arrangements for applicants to be considered further.

Thank you in advance.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Sharon Glover
