The Solicitors Regulation Authority announced on 27th March 2012 that they were consulting on changes to the SRA Practice Framework Rules.
They are seeking views on proposed amendments to rule 4 of the SRA Practice Framework Rules to help clarify the purpose and limitations of the rule in relation to the statutory position under section 15 of the Legal Services Act for in-house practice.
The consultation is not intended as a wider review of the area of in-house practice which they anticipate to undertake later this year.
