Assistant Practice Manager, Guildhall Chambers
Guildhall Chambers in central Bristol is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to join their dynamic Civil Clerking team. If you're an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and detail oriented individual, this is the opportunity for you!
Our modern office setting offers a vibrant work environment, including the flexibility of work from home days and on the job training. In this role, you'll work directly with experienced Practice Managers to support our barristers and provide exceptional service to our clients.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to, managing papers and diaries, booking appointments, handling fee agreements, and supporting client events. This role is client-focused and requires collaboration with our dedicated team of civil clerks, crime clerks, and support staff.
While prior legal experience is preferred, we also welcome applicants with a strong background in administrative roles, such as PA or customer service, where attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency are key.
To succeed in this role, you should be a strong multi-tasker, capable of working under pressure. A minimum of GCSE Grade 5 (or equivalent) in maths and English is required. Experience in personal injury, clinical negligence, or employment law is beneficial but not essential.
Please note that during the initial probationary period, working from home may not be an option.
