Junior Clerk, Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Practice Group, St John’s Chambers

St John’s Chambers is seeking to recruit a Junior Clerk to join its Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Practice Group. Previous experience in this practice area is not essential.
The role involves supporting the day-to-day management of diaries, cases, and fees, working closely with individual members on practice development, and contributing to the delivery of Chambers’ overall business objectives.
The successful candidate will be trained in diary management and planning, including booking hearings and instructions, ensuring the timely delivery of briefs, and negotiating brief fees. They will also receive training in the Chambers’ case management system, enabling them to manage instructions from initial entry through to case conclusion. This will include the fair allocation of work, monitoring deadlines, handling inbound
documentation, and ensuring accurate billing of Counsels’ work.
In addition, the role includes supporting business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with solicitors and to identify marketing opportunities aligned with the objectives of both individual barristers and Chambers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their clerking career. We look forward to receiving applications from motivated and professional candidates.
