We are looking for qualified lawyers to attend misconduct hearings and provide legal and procedural advice.

The hearings will be 3-5 times a year and you will be paid for your time and expenses with a day rate of £511.50 per day for hearings (with additional payment rates for report writing).

To be eligible for this role you will hold a “relevant qualification” (i.e. as a barrister, a solicitor or a holder of another specified legal qualification) for a minimum of five years and has to have gained experience in law.

Training for the role and an induction to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner will be provided.

The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is to be the voice of local people in policing and to hold the Chief Constable to account. The aim of all PCCs is to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient police service within their force area.
