VWV is expanding and relocating the Bristol office to larger premises at Narrow Quay House in a deal with Standard Life Investments.
The move will take place in January 2015, following a comprehensive refurbishment of the 57,000 sq ft building by Standard Life Investments, and will involve 250 staff being accommodated over three floors, totalling 40,000 square feet.
The refurbishment will create an additional 10,000 sq ft and include a new enclosed central atrium and building services.
The remaining 27,000 sq ft will be let on a speculative basis.
Simon Heald, VWV Managing Partner commented;
“We have enjoyed a city centre location for many years and it is important to us that we retain an accessible location and great working environment for our staff and clients. We have outgrown our current location in Orchard Court and with our ambition for growth, needed to look for new offices. Narrow Quay House will provide the additional space that we need.
We will be working with our surveyors, Jones Lang LaSalle, to develop the offices to our specification”.
Will Fulton, Fund Manager, Standard Life Investments Heritage With Profits Fund added;
“ This is one of the largest lettings to be completed in the Bristol office market this year, ahead of the 10,000 sq ft we recently leased at Broad Quay House to Semperian. We are delighted to be working with a tenant of Veale Wasbrough Vizards’ standing which also allows us to invest in the development and expansion of Narrow Quay House.”
VWV employs over 300 staff and has offices in London, Bristol and Birmingham. The move will increase capacity in Bristol, and support the investment in the firm’s sectors; Education, Charities, Healthcare, Family-owned businesses, Public sector and Private Wealth.
