Vice-President’s Round-Up

Ben Tarrant of TLT, Bristol Law Society Vice-president has attended a number of recent events. Here is his report:-

I attended the Bolland Lecture at UWE given by Sir Ian Carruthers OBE on the future of leadership in healthcare.  The guest list was impressive and included a number of high profile people from the healthcare sector and Bristol community and the Lady Mayoress of Bristol

I also attended the Deaf Law Quality Mark Awards on Monday – TLT is the first firm in the country to be awarded the accreditation. I encourage other firms to take action.

I further attended a Gromit Unleashed event at TLT where Ian Barrington, Divisional Director for Women’s and Children’s Services from University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust gave a presentation on the services provided in Bristol for children’s care and there was an auction for the Wallace and Gromit grand appeal. Gromit Unleashed sees 80 individually painted Gromit statues located around Bristol.

On 8th July, Ben Tarrant is also hosting a Panel at the BYlaw event “The Pink Ceiling” , looking at equality and diversity in the Professions. Speakers are Tim Hailes (JP Morgan), Lucy Scott-Moncrieff (President of Law Society), and Roger Harper (Employment Judge). The event will be held at TLT.
