Sheldon Carlisle, National Director, Hays
Sheldon is a National Director at Hays and oversees the Legal & Company Secretarial business in the UK&I. He also specialises in recruiting legal professionals across the Southwest & South Wales. He previously practiced as a Commercial Property lawyer with Osborne Clarke and Bevan Brittan and has built up 20 years’ experience in the legal market. Sheldon is a regular speaker and hosts round table events for lawyers, law firm recruitment teams and partners for Bristol Law Society and the Bristol Junior Lawyers Division.
Paul Beanlands, Partner, Transactional Real Estate team, Michelmores
Paul joined from Nabarro (now part of CMS) in 2015 working in the London office before moving to Bristol. He heads up the Bristol office but still spends a significant amount of time in the London office. Paul has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property work, with a particular focus on acquisitions & disposals of investment & development properties, commercial & mixed-use development projects, and corporate occupier work. He also has increasing experience in advising on energy driven deals. Paul has been involved in the charity & social committees in Bristol and recently became the chair of Michelmores' new Legal Director panel.
Briony Holland, Partner, Real Estate Team, Womble Bond Dickinson
Briony joined WBD 10 years ago and was recently promoted to Partner. She specialises in renewable energy work and has advised on some of the UK's first commercial-scale green hydrogen developments. She acts for a range of clients on projects from early-stage development through to nationally significant infrastructure projects. Briony is passionate about the role of energy transition in achieving net zero and is an active participant in industry initiatives and events across the South West and beyond
Leila Goodarzi, Partner, Estates, Tax & Trusts team, VWV
Leila was promoted to Partner in 2020, having trained and then qualified at VWV in 2012. She leads the Bristol Estates, Tax & Trusts Team and specialises in helping clients navigate complex estate administrations, including those involving Independent Administrators and satellite litigation. In addition, Leila spearheaded and now leads VWV's specialist Legacy Protection team, supporting Charity and Higher Education clients with realising and maximising legacy income.
