  • Book now

As part of Pro Bono Week 2025, we’re pleased to share details of an upcoming event hosted by CLEO (the Clinical Legal Education Organisation) with support from the National Pro Bono Centre:

This event is particularly aimed at lawyers who are newer to pro bono, or who want to get involved but are unsure where to start or how their skills might translate.

The session will explore the idea of General Practice Pro Bono - where lawyers use their core legal skills, regardless of specialism, to support individuals and communities who need legal help.

Speakers:
  • David Powles, Norfolk Community Law Service
  • Sarah Clover, Clyde & Co / South Westminster Community Law Centre
  • Diana Kirsch, LSE
  • Rita Gupta, Leiper Gupta Family Lawyers
  • Juan Peña, Visa
  • Lisa Naylor, LawWorks
It’s designed to be a supportive and practical introduction, offering:
  • Examples of how lawyers are contributing in manageable, flexible ways
  • Stories from those making a difference alongside their day jobs
  • Guidance on working with local law centres, clinics, and advice agencies
We hope this event will help to broaden and strengthen engagement across the profession. Your support in helping us reach those earlier in their pro bono journey is greatly appreciated.
