Level 2 (Award) - Introduction to First Aid for Mental Health
With a significant increase in mental health challenges among employees in the workplace, it is vital that workplaces are knowledgeable on how to respond and react to a mental health crisis.
This Level 2 award is delivered over 1.5 days midweek, and the qualification supports the understanding of principles of first aid for mental health, and supports the role of mental health first aiders in the workplace.
This course will cover topics such as:

Understand mental health and wellbeing and the mental health continuum

Understand how mental illness affects the experience of individuals and ways to manage one’s own wellbeing

Understand the principles of first aid for mental health and how to recognise mental ill health

Supporting mental wellbeing in the workplace and shape cultures in the workplace

Understand the importance of mental resilience and protection of self for first aiders for mental health

Location: Construction Training Centre, Locking Head Drove, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7NA.
Those earning under £25,000 per annum will receive this training fully funded. Those earning above £25,000 will be 50% funded with employers contributing £52.92 per person.
