Get Involved with BLS – Drop-in session 15 September @5-6pm

Have you ever thought about volunteering?

BLS relies on people giving their time, ideas and energy. Not everyone needs to take on a big role - in fact if lots of people do something small, it all adds up to something larger and often rather special. Sometimes involvement starts with joining a committee, bringing a particular interest or perspective, or simply helping connect your firm with what is happening locally.

If you have ever thought:

“I would like to get more involved.”
“I have an idea that could help the local legal community.”
“I could be a BLS ambassador for my firm.”
“Maybe one day I could be part of the Exec team or be President.”

....then do come along to our informal session on 15 September, 5pm to 6pm, (kindly hosted this month at TLT's offices) where you can find out more. It is open to interested BLS members, including lawyers and business support professionals in Corporate Member firms.

There will be a chance to hear from the current Exec Team and Officers about opportunities to get involved, and from Past Presidents about what it is really like and what they took from their experiences.

No pressure. Just a chance to ask questions, have a conversation and find out whether there might be a role that fits you.

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
