Honorary King’s Counsel nominations: deadline 19 September 2025

The Ministry of Justice is now welcoming nominations for the 2025/26 Honorary King’s Counsel awards.

These awards recognise individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the law of England and Wales or to the legal profession. The MoJ are especially keen to see nominations that reflect the broad diversity of experience and background across the legal community.

The Lord Chancellor and Minister Sackman have both marked the launch of this year’s nomination round.

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
