Marlin Communications and Quiss Technology are unveiled as Platinum Sponsors for the WE R LegalTech Festival and Conference 2025

  • Posted on

Following the success of our inaugural festival last year, WE R LegalTech brought to you by Bristol+BathLegalTech (BBLT) is back in 2025! And in a change of venue, the Annual Conference this year will be taking place at the iconic The Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare. It’s a deliberately fun and eye-catching venue with fantastic conference facilities which we will be taking over for the day including the outside decks and the arcade, the dodgems and Jack’s bar in the evening.

And this year’s title couldn’t be much more appropriate given the audience will be perched over the waves as we take a deep dive into - AI and the Coming Wave: how lawyers can surf not sink.

The Festival takes place over four days 'kicking-off' on Tuesday 6th May, with the conference being on Wednesday 7th plus multiple additional events planned across the region closing on Friday 9th May.

We are thrilled to welcome back as one of this year’s two Festival Platinum Sponsors, Marlin Communications, who headlined the inaugural event in 2024 and to welcome existing Bristol Law Society sponsor but no stranger to legal technology services, Quiss Technology.

Marlin Communications has been partnering with law firms and providing tailored business communications technology solutions that support operational success and scalability, for over 25 years.

We’re looking forward to meeting old friends and new as we continue the conversation on Ai-powered meetings, the latest tech powering today’s video conferencing rooms, transforming the customer experience, and much, much more.

“Last year’s conference demonstrated the sheer depth of talent and commitment to all things LegalTech available right here on our doorstep. We are absolutely delighted to be back supporting this fantastic event in 2025.” Paul Oaten, Marketing Director, Marlin Communications.

Quiss Technology is one of the UK's leading privately owned provider of technology services to the UK legal sector. This event comes at an exciting time for Quiss, with another year of continued growth built on our 36+ years of successful operations. Our success stems from our ability to be more than just a business that keeps networks healthy and supplies new technology when needed - we serve as trusted advisers to our clients.

“We're keen to support this event because it aligns perfectly with our commitment to the legal sector, providing us with an opportunity to engage directly with legal professionals, share our expertise, and to build on our already extensive knowledge of the technological needs of law firms”. David Ricketts Head of Marketing.

And in another development for 2025, Bristol Law Society who are co-founders of BBLT are joined by Devon & Somerset Law Society who will also be taking part and supporting the event in our joint vision for this conference to bring our collective members the same quality of conference speakers and content that you would expect to find in the established London based LegalTech events and to showcase the best of what Bristol, Bath and the wider West of England legal sector are doing in this space.

The conference’s programme will appeal to anyone with a passion for and interest in how the legal world is changing as a result of a slew of technological advances including generative AI. We will try to step back and review the spectrum of implications the sector needs to face up to as a result, with strands designed for law firm leaders, partners and senior lawyers, in-house lawyers, technologists and legal innovators in firms, entrepreneurs and legal tech start-ups, established tech companies, academics and more.
