St John’s Chambers is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Khaldi as Chief Executive

Richard joins our set with a focus on strengthening our standing as the pre-eminent chambers in the South West. Having begun his career in law as a practising litigation solicitor, Richard spent over 10 years working as an economic regulator in the water sector before becoming a management consultant. Most recently, Richard spent nearly five years as Chambers Director at a leading London Chambers. He therefore brings a wealth of experience from both inside and outside the Bar and will play a key role in shaping our Chambers’ growth and outreach.

Richard is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the Bar, ensuring that St John’s Chambers remains a place where talent thrives and opportunities are open to all. He also supports the Bar’s Pro Bono efforts and has been a trustee of Advocate, the Bar’s Pro Bono Charity, since May 2024.

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
