Take part in the Financial Benchmarking Survey 2027

The survey provides valuable insight into the financial performance of law firms, including how firms are investing in people, technology, and operations, managing costs, and supporting growth. For participating firms, it provides a free personalised benchmarking report, allowing them to compare their profitability, employment costs, and key financial metrics with similar firms.

For smaller firms, the survey provides an opportunity to see how their performance compares beyond their usual local networks and provides useful evidence to support discussions around fees, costs, staffing, profitability, investment, and future planning.

Please share this survey with your contacts, networks, and member firms to encourage them to have their say. The more firms that participate from across England and Wales, the stronger and more representative the benchmarking data will be for the sector.

Completed surveys submitted by 30 September 2026 will be entered into an early bird prize draw for the chance to win a luxury hamper, alongside other prizes including three-month free Section memberships to the Leadership and Management Section and £100 high street vouchers.

The survey closes on Friday 30 October.

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
