The West of England Legal Early Careers Network (WLECN) is delighted to be opening applications for this year’s Year 10 Insight Week.

The WLECN is a network of legal employers, collaborating to provide crucial workplace encounters for Year 10 students looking to explore career opportunities within the legal sector. The Insight Week is a week-long programme taking place July and aims to provide students with a greater understanding of the various jobs available within the sector, an opportunity to undertake interactive legal tasks, gain insight from legal professionals and understand the steps they need to take to pursue their chosen career.

Our 2025 Y10 Work Experience Scheme will run as follows...

w/c 30 June – Bristol and Southampton
w/c 7 July – Bristol
w/c 14 July – Bristol and Bath

As in previous years, students will spend time in different law firms throughout their week with us, completing legal & employability focussed tasks. At the end of the week, students also experience a Mock Trial at UWE. All sessions run from 10am-1pm.

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
