Thrings named among South West’s most-recommended law firm
Award-winning law firm Thrings has been ranked third in a list of the most-recommended law firms across the South West, according to new independent research.
The ranking comes from Legal 500's annual client survey, which asks the question: “On a scale of 0-10, how likely are you to recommend this firm?”. Responses are then used to calculate a client satisfaction score that can be compared against other firms.
With almost 11,000 responses, Thrings’ high ranking demonstrates its ongoing commitment to delivering growth and success for its clients, acting as a trusted adviser on all professional and personal legal matters and using its vast sector expertise to forge long-lasting working relationships that go beyond a single transaction.
Simon Holdsworth, Managing Partner at Thrings, said: “Nothing matters more to us as a firm than our clients and the quality of service we provide them. In today’s legal market, clients have more choice than ever before and having their confidence in us confirmed independently with a result like this really means a lot.
“It tells us that clients not only trust the advice we provide but is a testament to the strength of the relationships we have built, and I want to congratulate each and every one of my colleagues for this recognition. To our clients, we say a massive thank you for continuing to place your trust in Thrings.”
To be included in the list, firms need to hold multiple rankings in the Legal 500’s prestigious directory. In the 2026 edition, Thrings was recognised in 17 departmental rankings – including Tier 1 places for Agriculture and Family – with a further 12 lawyers ranked individually.
The firm has also repeatedly been acknowledged by Legal 500 as one of the best law firms in the country to train new lawyers in its Future Lawyers guide.
Praising Thrings and the other firms ranked, Amy Ulliott, UK editor at Legal 500, said that “in a highly competitive legal market, there is no stronger endorsement than a client's willingness to recommend their law firm” with the analysis providing “a unique insight into the firms earning the highest levels of trust and advocacy from the people they serve”
