The Law Society: Judicial pathway workshops for Black, Asian and ethnic minority solicitors

In 2025, the Law Society is offering a series of free virtual workshops aimed at Black, Asian and ethnic minority solicitors with at least seven years’ PQE who are considering a career in the judiciary.

Led by sitting judges, the sessions focus on building confidence, understanding the judicial appointments process, and sharing personal experiences from the bench. Participation requires attendance at both workshops and completion of preparatory work. Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
